Harley Griffin Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technicians create a layered level of expertise behind the scenes. They follow the veterinarian’s instructions for each and every patient and discuss any changes that may occur in their conditions. Some of the technician’s responsibilities include: assisting the doctor by holding patients, drawing and running blood work, monitoring patients under anesthesia, taking radiographs, performing dental cleanings, and basically being the veterinarian’s right hand. Harley has been a team member at Liles Animal Clinic since May of 2010. She earned her associates degree in Veterinary Technology from Arkansas State University of Beebe in July of 2010. Harley has a love for animals, big and small, and loves to work with them all.

Growing up she has been around an array of animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, horses, goats, and chickens. She also raised rabbits for FFA in high school. As of right now she has 4 dogs; a rescued mixed breed, a Blue Heeler, and 2 miniature Dachshunds. Harley’s long term goal is to become certified in animal Dentistry and Physical Therapy.

As our technician, she loves being able to help pets stay happy and healthy. Harley does her best to provide education and resources to pet owners, so that they can give the best care possible when at home. Some of Harley’s favorite tasks as a veterinary technician are taking dental x rays and performing dental cleanings. She takes before and after pictures of every dental patient, in order to better educate owners of the importance of dental cleanings.
